I'm the oldest of four siblings and am officially well into my 6th decade. Who would have thought! I live with my husband (a.k.a. "the bearded one"), Harley the dog, Jasper the cat, Miss kiki, an adopted elder dog,
four three chickens referred to as "the ladies", on an acre and a quarter on a windy prairie in the Pacific North West. My passions include photography, digital graphics, vintage whatever (including "the bearded one"), and all things Word Press. My tagline would be "Presentation! Presentation! Presentation!" My next adventure will be retiring and moving back home where I began over sixty years ago into a little cottage nestled in the Quinault valley on the Olympic Penninsula.
Hello, I am Rhae, sister #2. It seems like just the other day I was reeling from the fact that I was in my 50’s, and BAM, the 60’s hit me head on. Now that I am into this decade a couple of years, I have decided it’s time to take life by the horns. Time to start living like I want to, instead of trying to get all my ducks in a row, because I’ve found in life, just when you think you have those ducks going where you want them to, they up and fly away! I tend to be the kind of person that thinks I have to be accomplishing things at all times to be a great “me”, but am now realizing that it is okay, sometimes, to just sit down, have a beer, and do nothing. It sounds like it should be so easy, but I still have to deal with things like making a living, keeping up our small farm and keeping my body from breaking down like an old Pinto. Even with all of that, my goal is to say, on my 70th birthday, that this has been the best decade of my life!
